Live! Kickstarter Campaign

Dear Friends and Coffee Lovers,

My name is Erene Henninger, founder of Project Seed Coffee, a Filipino-owned specialty coffee shop based in Virginia Beach, VA. What began as a small cold brew delivery service during the pandemic has grown into a vibrant, community-rooted café inspired by the flavors and warmth of Filipino culture.

With your support, we opened our first brick-and-mortar location in the historic Kemps Landing Manor House. Now, thanks to your continued love and growing demand, we’ve outgrown our current space — and we’re ready to expand!

Why We’re Expanding

We’re raising funds to move into a larger location that will allow us to:

  • Serve more guests

  • Offer expanded food and drink options (yes, more ube!)

  • Host community gatherings, vendor features, and small business products

  • Provide more space for local creators, students, and neighbors to gather

“This expansion isn’t just about more tables — it’s about making room for more representation, more cultural flavor, and more community.”

How Your Support Helps

Your contributions will help us with:

  • Build-out costs (equipment, furniture, signage)

  • Licenses and inspections

  • Hiring and training staff

  • Interior design that reflects our Filipino heritage

Whether you give $5 or $500, your support means the world to us. We are so proud to be part of the Hampton Roads community and represent Filipino-American culture through joyful, quality coffee and hospitality.

What We Promise

This isn’t just about coffee. It’s about creating a space where people feel seen, inspired, and connected — one coffee at a time.

If you’ve ever enjoyed our Ube Velvet Latte, supported any of our pop-ups, or just needed a little pick-me-up, we invite you to help us plant the next seed.

Let’s grow together.
With love and gratitude,

Erene
